When you arrive at this welcoming old inn you cannot fail to be impressed with its popularity. Booking is recommended, especially at weekends, as the varied menu of delicious freshly cooked food is much in demand locally.

A comprehensive blackboard menu featuring our daily specials using as much fresh seasonal local produce when available, including the fabled asparagus suppers (a well-supported Plough favourite). Currently we are featuring new season game including partridge, venison, pheasant, pigeon and grouse (subject to availability).

In addition to the daily specials board and set menu, Julian, our Head Chef, is happy to cater for special dietary needs such as gluten-free, dairy-free as well as vegetarian requirements. As a complement to our usual menu, Sundays always feature a traditional roast served all day.

One of the Pub's best-kept secrets is the breakfast that is served on a daily basis on race-days. A perfect preparation for the day and to suppress any effects of over-indulgence from the night before!

Hot beverages are served throughout the day, a perfect pick-me up for the many enthusiasts who use The Plough Inn as a focal point for the exploration on foot of the spectacular local countryside. (Guides detailing local walks are available at the Pub.) For al fresco dining in the warmer months there is a large beer garden at the rear of the inn complete with a play fort for children.
