"The picturesque 16th-century Cotswold inn, once the local courthouse but now patronised by those who judge horseflesh, follows the maxim that "all men are equal on and under the turf". If you like the nags, you'll like The Plough. It is both silver ring and members' enclosure. Victuals are accessible to all tastes and drinks are easily got. There are connections with gossip and a bookie to pass it on to. A gallery of jump-racing's greatest heroes, from Desert Orchid to the Queen Mum, hangs on its stone walls." [ Read More... ]

"After more weeks of travelling and staying in small hotels, pubs and country houses I felt that I just had to write to tell you that we found your accommodation to be the very best we have ever experienced... We didn't really have the time or opportunity to thank you personally for your wonderful hospitality but we felt your pub had the very highest standards and your staff reflected your attitude of excellence."
